Latest Open AI News: Imagine having an AI assistant that can take over your computer and do anything you want. Whether it’s transferring data, filling out forms, creating documents, or booking tickets, the AI agent can handle it all with just a simple voice command.

That was the vision of OpenAI, the AI research company founded by Sam Altman and others. According to a report by The Information, OpenAI is working on two types of AI agents that can automate complex tasks for users.

One type of agent is device-centric: It can control the user’s device and perform tasks across different apps, such as data transfer, form filling, and document creation. The agent can mimic the user’s clicks, cursor movements, and text typing, effectively acting as a new type of operating system.

It is not clear whether these agents will be sold as standalone products or as part of a more comprehensive software suite. However, OpenAI is also developing these agents to compete with Rabbit R1 which flew off the shelves as soon as they were released.
